Samoa Joe On Wardlow Earning A Title Shot: This Is A Very Different Version of Me, Wardlow Will Soon Learn That
Samoa Joe does not fear Wardlow.
At AEW Revolution, Wardlow earned an opportunity at the AEW World Championship after winning an 8-man All-Star Scramble. On that same night, Samoa Joe defeated Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page to retain his AEW World Championship. Both Joe and Wardlow had a lengthy feud that lasted from 2022 til 2023 before both men went on to find new opportunities.
At the media scrum, Rick Ucchino of Cageside Seats, Joe addressed the future championship opportunity that Wardlow earned to get a crack at Joe’s gold.
“Much like everybody else in this entire roster, it’s no surprise Wardlow finds himself where he is. Obviously, a very domineering individual that has had tremendous success. Admittedly, even against me. But right now, this is a very different version of myself. This is not one that is distracted by other championship titles. I am the AEW World Champion, and Wardlow will soon learn why that is.”
It has not been mentioned yet as to when Wardlow vs. Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship, but we will keep you updated on any news we hear about this future championship match.
