Rob Van Dam: It Would Be Cool To Face Will Ospreay, He and I Are Pioneers From Different Periods

Rob Van Dam would like to see Will Ospreay in a match.

This past February, Will Ospreay began wrestling full-time for All Elite Wrestling where he battled Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Revolution in a match of the year candidate where Ospreay walked away victorious over Takeshita.

Ospreay would follow that up with a match that upcoming Wednesday on Dynamite against Kyle Fletcher where the two tore the house down in the main event with Ospreay walking away with another win.

In a conversation on 1 of a Kind with RVD, the legendary Rob Van Dam was asked about his thoughts on a potential match against Ospreay.

“Yeah, I see that quite often as a request that fans say that they would really want to see. I think that we’re both pioneers from different time periods. I brought in a lot of stuff and still back in the day that has become the style, and I think he’s done the same thing, showing us stuff that takes it to a next level in that direction. So I get it, that would be cool. Is it possible? I guess so. Right now, I don’t know, AEW, if anything…I don’t know what to expect. RVD-ology tells me not to have expectations….So I don’t know, I’ve heard that a lot, the Will Ospreay [match],” Rob Van Dam.

Ospreay is currently set to battle Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty in a dream match come true.
