Eddie Kingston Says He Doesn’t Think Anybody Would Have Missed Chris Jericho If He Set Them On Fire
Eddie Kingston will always have a rivalry with Chris Jericho.
In 2022 at AEW Double or Nothing, an Anarchy in the Arena match took place where one of the most memorable moments went down when Eddie Kingston, who was covered in blood was preparing to set Chris Jericho on fire with the gas can in his hand until Bryan Danielson stopped him from doing it.
In a conversation with Steve Fall for WrestlingNewsCo, this is what Kingston had to say about that memorable moment that many fans will never forget.
“Yeah, Jericho. I was trying to set Jericho on fire. I don’t think anybody would have missed him. At least twice a day, someone thinks about that. At least twice. It runs through my head at least once, where I’m like, ‘Man, I was really close to setting him on fire. That would have been fun.’ Maybe the pay-per-view buys would have went up afterwards, like, ‘Hey, did you see Chris Jericho get set on fire by Eddie Kingston?’ If they’re like, ‘No, oh, I gotta order it,'” Kingston said.
Kingston is currently set in a feud with the Elite, most notably the newest signee to All Elite Wrestling, Kazuchika Okada who got the pin against Kingston on the March 13 edition of AEW Dynamite: Big Business.
