The Cause Of Death For Yutaka Yoshie Revealed
The world of professional wrestling was greatly saddened on March 10th as NJPW & AJPW legend Yutaka Yoshie passed away following his match at All Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Dream Power Series 2024 event.
After teaming with Ryo Inoue and being on the losing end of a tag team match against Hokuto Omori & Ryouji Sai, Yoshie became ill backstage and was rushed to the hospital as his condition quickly deteriorated. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital where Yoshie sadly passed away.
It has been revealed in a report by Tokyo Sports that Yoshie passed away due to arteriosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a narrowing of the arteries caused by a buildup of plaque which can lead to heart failure heart attack or stroke if left untreated.

The bereaved family explained that the cause of death was “due to arteriosclerosis” and told him, “It was not caused by the wrestling match, so please don’t worry about it.

NJPW has placed a number of classic matches featuring Yoshie on its NJPW World subscription streaming service.
