Rey Mysterio Says There Will Be A Lot Of Payback When He Gets His Hands On Santos Escobar Soon

Rey Mysterio believes this has been a long time coming.

Last November, Santos Escobar took out Rey Mysterio, injuring his knee and aligning himself once again with Legado Del Fantasma as a heel. This would result in Mysterio returning to the ring four months later where he helped Carlito win his match against Escobar before issuing out his own challenge for his former friend.

During a SmackDown Exclusive, Mysterio would make his sights set clear on what he needs to do next.

“That’s what they do. They like to jump people when they’re alone and behind their backs. I threw the challenge out. Now, I’m just waiting for Santos to accept it. Santos, for so many months, kept bragging and bragging. ‘You and me, together, we are family.‘ I’ll never forget that, and my knee will never forget that either. Next week, there’s gonna be a lot of payback,” Mysterio said.

Mysterio and Escobar are set to do battle on the March 22 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
