AJ Styles Says He Was Wrong For Expecting A Problem With CM Punk When He Returned To The WWE

AJ Styles wants to wrestle the cult of personality soon.

The long history between AJ Styles and CM Punk stems back to Ring of Honor. Now, both men are officially under contract with the WWE for the first time and there is a possibility of them colliding soon.

During a conversation on The Ringer Wrestling Show, this is what Styles had to say about the return of Punk.

“If you know anything about AJ Styles and CM Punk, you would know that we really don’t care for each other. If you want me to ruin everything you think you know, I can. Here it is. Past performance predicts future behavior, right? Some over at AEW are my best friends. Love them, trust them, know them. I was expecting a problem when he came here. I was wrong. The guy looks like he’s happy to be here. He looks like a guy that I want to step into the ring with and tear the house down with. So, I can’t wait until that tricep of his is ready to rock so we can tear the house down,” said Styles.

Styles is set to battle LA Knight at WrestleMania 40 and has teased that he will be getting new music for the first time since signing with the WWE.
