Triple H, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard Gift Cody Rhodes His Father’s Previously Pawned Watch Following Historic WWE WrestleMania 40 Victory
Cody Rhodes keeps on winning.
In case you somehow missed it — during night two of WrestleMania 40, with some help from John Cena, The Undertaker, Seth Rollins, and Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes finally finished his story by outlasting The Bloodline and Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Following his historic victory, Cody Rhodes took part in the post-show press conference, where he revealed that when he got to the back after celebrating in the ring, Triple H, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard gifted him the same watch that his father, Dusty Rhodes, had to pawn in order to be able to pay to send him to acting school.
“I came to the back and Bruce Prichard, Triple H, and Nick Khan handed me this [shows watch]. It’s the same watch my dad had that he pawned so he could go to acting school. The level of investment and responsibility the company just put in my hands, I hope I can pay it back, pay it forward, 100 times over.”
