HAYATA Defeats Jack Morris To Win the GHC National Championship, First Jr Heavyweight To Win Title
Pro Wrestling NOAH has a new GHC National Champion. At the April 11th Star Navigation 2024 event, which took place at Korakuen Hall, HAYATA defeated Jack Morris to win the GHC National Title in front of nearly 1,000 fans.
HAYATA didn’t win without controversy. As Morris was setting HAYATA up for a Tiger Driver, HAYATA countered it with a Huracanrana and scored the pinfall victory to win the title. In cheating fashion, HAYATA grabbed the ropes for leverage to secure the win over Morris and became the latest holder of the NOAH red belt. A shocked Morris looked on in disbelief following his loss to HAYATA. This was the fourth defense of the GHC National Title for Morris since winning it back in October 2023.
In winning the GHC National Title, HAYATA becomes the first Jr Heavyweight to hold that championship.
Backstage following the match, Morris demanded a rematch while HAYATA said he will accept anybody’s challenge except one from Morris.
