Exclusive: Update On Top Joshi Star’s AEW Forbidden Door Status
STARDOM’s AZM competed on this past Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision from Cincinnati in a AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Match against current Champion Toni Storm, which would see her fall short in a losing effort.
AZM also recently participated at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor 2024 when Empress Nexus Venus (Maika & Mina Shirakawa) & Mei Seira defeated Queen’s Quest (AZM & Saya Kamitani) & Tam Nakano. However, this apparently will not be her last time competed for AEW/ROH.
Back on April 4th, 2024 STARDOM held an event from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which featured AZM on the card. AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm would also make an appearance on the show, that saw her drop a “Forbidden Door” reference.
I can now confirm after speaking with sources close to AZM that she will be returning to the United States in June, and will be participating in AEW’s Forbidden Door on June 30th from the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. I reached out to sources within AEW about AZM’s status for “Forbidden Door,” and I was told “Anything is on the table for Forbidden Door.”
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about AZM, her AEW status, or news regarding AEW’s Forbidden Door PPV.
