Von Wagner was a free agent in WWE. Now he is a free agent in real life.
PWInsider reported that Wagner was considered for a promotion from NXT to Raw or SmackDown last week. However, Fightful Select revealed that Wagner was among those released from WWE.
“Von Wagner was also part of the WWE releases last week,” Fightful Select reported.
Wagner began his WWE career in 2019 after transitioning from college football, training at the Performance Center.
His profile grew with the debut of NXT 2.0 in late 2021, designed to highlight new talent, leading to more television appearances in several storylines. Recently, he was involved in a feud with Bron Breakker and Lexis King, with his last match occurring on April 2 against King, where he played a role in advancing her storyline.
