Mike Santana & Nic Nemeth In Action, Matt Hardy Appears — TNA iMPACT! Preview — 4/25/24
–
Matt Hardy returned to the company after the World Title match between Moose and Nic Nemeth at Rebellion. The lights went out and a LIGHTS OUT hype video played, and then the creepy laugh of “Broken” Matt Hardy could be heard in the arena before the lights came back on and Hardy was standing behind Moose. Hardly laid out Moose with a Twist of Fate and then held up the TNA World Title belt as the PPV went off then
Hardy revealed on Busted Open Radio a few days ago that he was part of the iMPACT television tapings the next day and that he’ll be kicking off this weeks iMPACT episode.
-We’ll see Nic Nemeth take on The System member and one half of the TNA Tag Team Champions, Eddie Edwards
Nemeth failed in his attempt to defeat Moose for the TNA World Title at Rebellion this past Saturday. Edwards and Brian Myers successfully defended their Tag Team Titles against Speedball Mountain – “Speedball” Mike Bailey & Trent Seven.
Will Nemeth start working his way back toward the World Title again, or will Eddie solidify Nemeth not being good enough for TNA gold? We’ll have to tune in tonight to find out.
-Xia Brookside will square off with Ash By Elegance (w/George Iceman as special Concierge) again.
Ash blames Xia for costing her a shot at the Knockouts World Title heading into the Rebellion PPV. These two have a bit of a storied history, with Ash beating Xia the first time after Xia had champagne thrown in her face and then Ash rolled her up for the victory.
Can Ash make a statement in this match, or will Ash finally be done with Xia and move onto the next quest? We’ll have to tune in tonight to find out.
-We’ll hear from Josh Alexander
Josh Alexander defeated Alex Hammerstone in a Last Man Standing Match at Rebellion this past Saturday. Many fans feel this was the best match of the night, and that’s a very compelling thought coming out of the PPV.
What’s next for the “Walking Weapon” on his way back to the top of this company? We’ll have to watch TONIGHT!
Handicapped Match
-Sami Callihan will take on The Good Hands.
Sami returned to TNA this last Saturday at the Rebellion PPV to help Jordynne Grace retain her Knockouts World Title against a formidable opponent in Steph De Lander, who aligned herself with The Good Hands prior to the match. She says she hired them to be at her side for the match.
Sami hit Jason Hotch with Cactus Driver 97 and laid him out. Now, the Good Hands look to get their hands on Sami.
-TNA X Division Champion Mustafa Ali will host a “Ballot Box Battle” to determine a new #1 contender to his X Division Title.
The participants on this match are currently unknown, but this should be a good match for whoever is involved.
Mustafa Ali had a successful defense of the X Division Title last Saturday at Rebellion when he was able to fend off Jake Something and obtain the victory.
Speculation is that Ali will defend the X Division Title against the winner of this match at the upcoming LIVE Under Siege event on 5/3.
-Newly-signed TNA talent Mike Santana takes on Myron Reed (w/The Rascalz).
Mike Santana returned to TNA Wrestling on Saturday at Rebellion when Steve Maclin came out from then back and demanded a match at the event. Director of Authority Santino Marella emerged from the back and said he’s in luck because he’s got a new talent that he just signed that morning. Santana’s music hit and he came out through the crowd. Santana and Maclin beat the crap out of each other and Santana walked away with the victory.
Yesterday, TNA announced that they’d officially signed Santana to a new contract with the company.
Myron Reed and the other Rascalz were defeated on the Countdown to Rebellion pre show by the team of ABC & Leon Slater. Reed took the pin after he was nailed with a 450 Splash off the top rope from Leon Slater.
Can Reed redeem himself this week, or will Santana keep rolling through the competition? We’ll have to tune in tonight to find out.
