NJPW Road To Wrestling Dontaku 2024 Results (4/27/2024), Title Change Occurs

On April 2th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling headed to the Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall as the promotion’s Road To Wrestling Dontaku 2024 tour rolled on. There were over 2100 fans in attendance to witness the event.

The main event featured a huge Los Ingobernables de Japon vs BULLET CLUB War Dogs 10 man elimination match. Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar and GLG faction leader Jake Lee aligned himself with the BULLET CLUB War Dogs as he has set his sights on Tetsuya Naito. The LIJ team of Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI defeated David Finlay, Jake Lee, Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney. Naito eliminated Lee to win the encounter for his team.

There was a title change at the Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall as Yuya Uemura defeated Great-O-Khan in a “Rural Revitalization” to become the new KOPW 2024 Champion. The match consisted of three rounds, Round 1 was a Mazda tire carrying contest, Round 2: Hiroshima lemon eating and Round 3 was a Tables Match. Uemura won the bout by wining two of the three rounds.

Frontier Zone: Toru Yano & Oleg Boltin defeated HANZO & Rey Paloma (6:54) after a kamikaze by Boltin against Paloma.
KENTA, Chase Owens & Taiji Ishimori defeated Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Tiger Mask (8:20) as Owen’s Tiger pinned.
Jeff Cobb & Francesco Akira defeated Zack Sabre Jr. & Kosei Fujita (11:40) after Cobb’s Tour of the Island vs. Fujita.
Tomohiro Ishii, Shota Umino & El Desperado defeated “King of Darkness” EVIL, Ren Narita & Yujiro Takahashi (8:46) after a Death Rider by Umino against Takahashi.
Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuya Murashima defeated Tomoaki Honma & Shoma Kato (6:58) after a Texas Clover hold by Tanahashi against Kato.
SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru defeated DOUKI & TAKA Michinoku (4:39) after a Samson clutch by Kanemaru against TAKA.
STRONG Openweight Tag Team Title: Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste (c) defeated Hikuleo & El Phantasmo (19:46) after a horizontal cradle by Nicholls against Hikuleo (1st defense).
KOPW 2024, Rural Revitalization Match ~ Hiroshima Edition: Yuya Uemura defeated Great-O-Khan (2-1) (16:50) by Table Crash to become the new KOPW 2024 Champion.
Elimination Match: Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI defeated David Finlay, Jake Lee, Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney (28:42).
