Erick Rowan, a former SmackDown Tag Team Champion, was recently pulled from an independent wrestling event. The reason given was ‘new contractual obligations.’
Speculation arose following the announcement, particularly because of ongoing teasers about Bo Dallas returning as Uncle Howdy. Many believed that Rowan was preparing to rejoin the company in this storyline.
PWInsider Elite has confirmed that Rowan has indeed signed a new contract with WWE and is set to make his return.
However, it remains unconfirmed whether Rowan will be part of the Uncle Howdy act when he returns to television, or if others will be involved in the storyline.
