WWE Has No Long Term Creative Direction For Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes achieved a significant milestone by winning the title and completing his narrative arc at WrestleMania 40, where he triumphed over Roman Reigns.
In the aftermath of his victory, The Rock announced his intention to return to the WWE ring to challenge Rhodes once again. Despite this exciting development, it appears that WWE is currently at a crossroads regarding future plans for Rhodes.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that there is no clear “big-time direction” for him until both The Rock and Roman Reigns are back in action.
“Rhodes has no real big-time direction until Rock and Roman Reigns are back in the picture. The other biggest star on the brand is Randy Orton, but they’re doing nothing to tease anything in that direction.”
This situation highlights a potential gap in storyline progression for Rhodes as WWE strategizes on how to best utilize his current championship status in the absence of these key superstars.
