Joe Doering stepped away from wrestling back in August of 2022, citing a returning brain cancer. It was very unfortunate, and Joe needed to focus on himself and his family.
In May of 2023, Joe’s wife provided an update on Joe’s condition and recovery.
Earlier this morning, PWInsider.com provided an update on Joe’s current status in fight against brain cancer:
We are told that Doering is still fighting the good fight against the disease, but is obviously dealing with the ramifications of treatments.
We are told it’s not expected that he will be returning to TNA programming anytime soon, if ever.
AEW star Lance Archer has shared the link to a gofundme to help Joe and his family.
Back in July of 2023, Eric Young posted his Team Canada gear from Slammiversary up for auction on the TNA eBay page. 100% of the proceeds went to Joe Doering and his family.
Joe Doering is a former IMPACT Tag Team Champion as part of Violent By Design, and was last seen on IMPACT television on August 25, 2022 when he teamed with fellow VBD members Eric Young & Deaner to take on Time Machine (Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, & Kushida).
