Monday Night Raw Confirmed to Remain on USA Network Until Netflix Deal Kicks In
WWE is preparing for a new partnership with Netflix. There was uncertainty about the location of RAW for the latter part of 2024. The current contract with the USA Network expires in October 2024, around the time SmackDown transitions to the same network. Now we know what the plan is.
Despite various options for RAW’s future, it has been decided to keep it simple for fans by continuing with the USA Network, which will broadcast both RAW and SmackDown later this year. WWE is also gearing up to start streaming Monday Night Raw on Netflix starting in 2025.
This transition follows a significant deal finalized on January 23, raising both curiosity and concerns among fans about the shift to an exclusive streaming format. As plans were made to move Monday Night Raw off traditional TV, it became known that the USA Network contract would conclude in September.
Without an extension, WWE faced the prospect of having no broadcast home for RAW until it began streaming on Netflix in January 2025. However, a resolution came through TKO Group Holding, which announced a new $25 million contract with NBCUniversal.
This agreement ensures that Monday Night Raw will remain on the USA Network for the remainder of the year. Today, TKO disclosed its first-quarter results for 2024, confirming that Monday Night Raw will continue on the USA Network for the fourth quarter.
The agreement also permits NBCUniversal to host both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown on the network later this year.
