Shane Helms: I Haven’t Heard A Bad Thing About CM Punk Since He Came Back To The WWE
Shane Helms is happy to see CM Punk back.
Last November, the WWE was shocked as they witnessed the return of the ‘Best in the World’ CM Punk came back after a decade-long absence from the WWE where he would go on to star in movies and shows, plus compete for the UFC and All Elite Wrestling.
During a conversation with Jonathan “The Coach” Coachman and Tommy Carlucci on Behind The Turnbuckle, this is what WWE producer Shane Helms had to say about Punk’s return to the WWE.
“Punk was definitely the bigger shock, for sure. I didn’t think he was ever going to come back just because of the bad blood with past administrations and some of the stuff that was said online while he was gone. You also have to realize that we all say stupid stuff and get some anger. Maybe we were feeling that way at that time. There is definitely stuff I have said in the past and people are like, ‘Did you mean it?’ At the time, I did. I might not feel that way now, but that’s how you grow as a person. In terms of Phil backstage, he’s been a pleasure since he’s been back. I didn’t have problems with him to begin with, so I’m not surprised he’s been a pleasure with me, but I haven’t heard anything bad, either,” he said.
Since getting injured, Punk has kept his feud alive with Drew McIntyre as both men have done their best to roast and one-up the other before they finally settle it in the ring soon.
