LA Knight Reveals Press Brawl With AJ Styles Was Not Planned At All

LA Knight, YEAH!

Before their match at WrestleMania 40. LA Knight and AJ Styles had gotten into a viral scuffle at WWE World where Styles walked away with a bloody nose and both men looked like they were about to have their match rescheduled for that day instead of the grandest stage of them all.

While speaking to KiddChris Show. LA Knight revealed that this press brawl was not planned at all beforehand, in fact, they just decided to go for it and see what would happen next.

“It was kind of silly for them to sit us next to each other. What did they expect was going to happen. Things blew up, he slammed me down, but when we came out of it, he had a bloody nose,” Knight said

Asked if he and AJ thought of the idea for a brawl when they learned they were sitting next to each other, Knight said, “Nope. Legitimately, I walked in the room…the set up is a big press junket and there were a bunch of different seats set out. Of all the seats that were set together, his and mine were within five feet of each other. I kind of looked over there and I was said to myself, ‘there’s a good chance we might have to fight at some point.’ I was just thinking that to myself. At some point, he tossed a stool that he was sitting on over in my direction. I was like, ‘Welp, gotta fight him now.’ That’s pretty much how it goes.”

Knight would go on to defeat Styles at WrestleMania 40 before Styles got his revenge in the finals to see who would face Cody Rhodes at Backlash: France for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
