Eddie Kingston Suffers Injury During NJPW Strong Openweight Title Loss At Resurgence

Eddie Kingston lost the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship to Gabe Kidd at NJPW and was visibly injured after the match.

It is reported by Fightful Select that he sustained an injury during a table suplex spot. At this time, we do not know the extent of his injury, or how long he may be out of action to nurse it.

During the same match, The Young Bucks made their return to NJPW, leaving Kingston on the mat. This return marked a significant moment for Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, who had been absent from NJPW for five years. Unfortunately, Eddie Kingston visibly struggled and limped out of NJPW Resurgence.

After the match, Kingston required assistance but managed to walk backstage, albeit with a noticeable limp. The exact severity of his injury is unclear, but it is confirmed that he suffered a legitimate injury during the match.

We’re sending out our best to Eddie Kingston. Hopefully, he will be able to get back into the ring soon.
