Bodyslam Exclusive – An Interview With TJPW Superstar Mizuki
Since 2017, Mizuki has been an integral part of the Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling roster. She has experienced great success while competing for TJPW as both a singles and tag team wrestler. Mizuki is a former Princess of Princess Champion as well as a three time Princess Tag Team Champion with Magical Sugar Rabbits partner Yuka Sakazaki. Coincidently, she defeated Sakazaki to win the Princess of Princess Title back on March 18 2023.
She has proven to fans worldwide that she possesses an incredible amount of talent which is showcased whenever she steps into the ring to compete.
Mizuki granted an exclusive interview to Bodyslam.net as she discussed being Princess of Princess Champion for 205 days, If she wants a shot at current champion Miu Watanabe, Who her toughest opponent was, If the International Princess Title interests her and much more!
Here is the Bodyslam.net exclusive interview with Mizuki:
Q: What was it about professional wrestling that drew you to it and made you want to compete in the sport?
Mizuki: The power of their support makes me feel more than 100% myself. I was attracted to the fact that I can feel that I am fighting together with everyone.
Q: You are a former Princess of Princess Champion. Miu Watanabe is the current champion, are you hoping for an opportunity to regain the title and how tough of an opponent do you feel Watanabe would be now that she is the champion?
Mizuki: I have a self that I want to be, so when the time comes, right? Miu is very strong!
Q: Describe what it was like being the Princess of Princess Champion for 205 days? Was there much stress knowing everyone was targeting you as you were the top champion?
Mizuki: I was happy that they were challenging me. I was nervous and under a lot of pressure, but I was able to get through it with the help of not only everyone who supported me, but also all the members of TJPW. I wanted to see the future with everyone further ahead, so it was very frustrating to lose.
Q: Is the International Princess Championship a title you would like to hold one day and how do you rate Yuki Arai as the champion?
Mizuki: I have never won the International belt, so I am curious about it. I’m so stoked and would like to stir things up. But (Yuki) Arai’s way of facing the belt is straightforward, so I hope she will keep going forward. I am watching over her!
Q: Who would you call your toughest opponent and why do you feel that way?
Mizuki: Emi Sakura! I think everyone knows she is tough!
Q: What does the future hold for the Magical Sugar Rabbits?
Mizuki: Always my treasure! I wish we could stand in the ring holding hands again.
Q: You competed a number of times in the USA, what is your favorite part of travelling to and competing in the USA?
Mizuki: I like the fact that everyone who comes to the show cheers loudly for me! That makes me do my best!
Q: What was it like being in the ring with the legendary Aja Kong-san when TJPW was in Philadelphia?
Mizuki: I was nervous, but my heart was filled with excitement to be able to fight against her!
Q: What are your goals for the rest of 2024?
Mizuki: To love everyone and be loved.
Q: You have a huge amount fans, what message would you like to give to all your fans that come out to watch your compete for TJPW?
Mizuki: Everyone who supports me and all the members of TJPW are the reason why I can do my best.
