Marshal Von Erich Says He Wants To See Von Erichs Vs. Rhodes Brothers Before Thinking About Retirement
Von Erichs vs. Rhodes Brothers? That would be money.
The world of pro wrestling has seen plenty of families come in and set themselves as either one of the greatest or a soon-to-be candidate for that honor. The Von Erichs and the Rhodes family have followed in the footsteps of their fathers to continue their legacy in professional wrestling.
During an episode of The Von Erichs Podcast, Marshal Von Erich had this to say about a possible future tag team match alongside his brother Ross against the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and the legendary Dustin Rhodes.
“That was good stuff. That was a tag team that Ross and I really, we want to do that before we retire. Who knows? Anything can happen, but that’s got to happen, the Von Erichs vs. The Rhodes. We’ve gotta do it,” Marshall said.
“People like the flips and the cartwheels, and it’s super impressive. But it’s weird. I’ve noticed that top guys at every company always kind of fall back into that older-school style, just classic professional wrestling. Roman Reigns, you don’t see him doing cartwheels and back handsprings. You don’t see Cody Rhodes doing that, even though I’ve seen Cody Rhodes do a backflip off a cage and it was unbelievably high,” Marshall said.
The last appearance made by the Von Erichs for All Elite Wrestling was on February 16 when they teamed up with Dustin Rhodes on an episode of AEW Rampage.
