Becky Lynch recently lost the WWE Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan at King & Queen of the Ring, raising significant questions about her contract status.
Lynch, whose Big Time Becks trademark was recently abandoned by WWE due to a conflict, has a cage match for the title rematch against Morgan on RAW this week.
Sean Ross Sapp reported through Fightful Select that, as of this morning, Becky Lynch and WWE had not reached terms on a new contract, though the two sides have been in contact. There has been no confirmation if a deal is imminent or agreed upon, but there hasn’t been a new deal reached. It is also unclear if this situation will affect tonight’s match.
Lynch’s current WWE contract is set to expire on June 1, at which point she will become a free agent unless a deal is reached before then. Many in the industry expect Lynch to receive the largest offer of any woman in pro wrestling history.
