WWE Superstar May Be On Their Way To NXT

WWE has frequently utilized main roster talent in NXT, a strategy that provides wrestlers with fresh perspectives and renewed momentum. It seems WWE is considering another star for this role. On the May 21 edition of NXT, Ava was seen on the phone, confirming that Roxanne Perez’s opponent for NXT Battleground would be revealed on the May 28 episode of the show.

Although the identity of Perez’s opponent for Battleground has not been confirmed, there is significant speculation. One main roster name that NXT officials have recently requested is Tegan Nox. Requests for Nox to be utilized in NXT date back to before the WWE Draft. According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, discussions with NXT and WWE sources revealed that there are currently no immediate creative plans for Nox on the main roster. Consequently, talent and sources within the NXT brand expect her to have a run in NXT soon.

A former NXT talent mentioned that Tegan Nox seems to have “unfinished business” with the brand, even following her appearance in October of the previous year. This statement suggests a storyline or personal motivation that could be explored upon her return to NXT.

Tegan Nox has not competed in WWE since an April 20 house show in Belfast. This hiatus has fueled further speculation about her potential return to NXT, where she could reignite her career and resolve any outstanding narratives.

The upcoming NXT Battleground event has generated considerable anticipation, particularly with the uncertainty surrounding Roxanne Perez’s opponent. The potential inclusion of Tegan Nox would not only provide a formidable challenge for Perez but also add a layer of intrigue for fans familiar with Nox’s history in NXT.
