Jim Ross Believes A One-Off Commentary Reunion With Jerry Lawler Could Happen In All Elite Wrestling

Jim Ross would love to reunite with Jerry Lawler.

This past May, the talent contract for Jerry Lawler and the WWE expired, and the company decided to not pursue an extension, thus making the King a free agent for the first time in over a decade with WWE.

Jim Ross, the long-time commentary partner of Lawler’s spoke about how he could see the two reuniting for one night only if they were allowed to do it in All Elite Wrestling.

A one-off. I don’t think he wants to re-invest in a weekly schedule. I certainly don’t. I’m only doing pay-per-views now for Tony Khan and I’m very comfortable and happy with that. People say, ‘Well, you should, you’re only working one day a month.’ What about those other 50 years I put in? I’ve paid my dues and I’m happy with my schedule. I’m happy that Tony Khan is respectful enough to manage my schedule so I can live a little longer. I still get excited about it.” Ross said.

Ross and Lawler worked together during the Attitude Era and throughout the early 2000s for the WWE’s commentary team on Monday Night Raw.
