Last week, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace appeared as Roxanne Perez’s surprise challenger for the NXT Women’s Title match at their upcoming Battleground PLE, taking place Saturday, June 9th.
During the broadcast last week, Grace also appeared backstage in NXT General Manager Ava‘a office and offered to take on Stevie Turner, who was complaint about Grace walking in and getting a title shot.
Kicking off tonight’s show, Jordynne Grace took on and defeated Stevie Turner pretty quickly in a statement match.
Roxanne Perez was at ringside for commentary.
Post-match, Roxanne got into the ring and was in Jordynne’s face, which led to the two women getting into a shoving match. Grace put Perez on her shoulders until Perez squirmed her way out and rolled out of the ring.
Jordynne Grace is set to take on Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title this Saturday at Battleground, which airs on Peacock.
