Goldberg Says The Guerrero Family Made Sure He Knew The Basics Of Professional Wrestling
Goldberg has praise for the Guerrero family.
After departing from the NFL, Bill Goldberg made his way to the world of professional wrestling where in 1997 he was already making his in-ring debut, but the people who were helpful with Goldberg learning all the basics were the legendary Guerrero family.
Goldberg spoke more in-depth on it, praising both Eddie and Chavo for the way they helped him in the ring, unlike others. You can read the full quote from Goldberg himself below.
“That Guerrero family had such a huge impact on me when I was coming up. They would take the time, unlike others, who felt threatened, they would take the time to make sure I knew the basics. Whether it was Eddie or Chavo. Chavo was great with me. The entire family, I have nothing but found memories with all of our interactions. In this day and age, a lot of people have ulterior motives. That family never had an ulterior motive, just an effort to make you better than you were before. That, you have to take your hat off to and cover your heart for, and you have to be appreciative that you run into people with such good character,” Goldberg said on the Alamo City Podcast.
Goldberg and Eddie never stepped foot in the ring as a tag team or as opponents, however, Chavo and Goldberg wrestled a couple of times throughout their careers.
