Kevin Nash On Damian Priest: His Star Power Shows Why He Is The WWE World Heavyweight Champion

Kevin Nash is happy to see Damian Priest as world champion.

At WrestleMania XL, Damian Priest capitalized on Drew McIntyre getting attacked by an irate CM Punk to cost the Scottish Psychopath their newly won WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Since then, Priest has defended and traveled the globe showing off why he is at the top of the mountain alongside the face of the company, the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

During an episode of Kliq This podcast alongside co-host Sean Oliver. Nash reflected on a segment between Priest and McIntyre during the May 27 edition of Monday Night Raw, here’s the full quote below.

“I just think that Damian [Priest] has really fucking risen to the occasion. When he went toe to toe [with Drew McIntyre], Drew’s a big fucker, [but] Damian’s star power gave him the appearance of being bigger than he actually is. He just looked like a star, he looked so comfortable. He looked like he should have that belt,” Nash said.

Priest is set to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against McIntyre at WWE Clash At The Castle in Glasgow, Scotland.
