Will Ospreay: When I’m 50, I Feel Like I Can Do An Adam Copeland And Keep Wrestling

Lee South Will Ospreay vs Konosuke Takeshita Greensboro, NC AEW Revolution March 3, 2024

Will Ospreay is determined to keep himself going for the next twenty years.

The current AEW International Champion has been making his mark since officially signing a contract to join All Elite Wrestling earlier this year. Since then, Will Ospreay’s defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Katsuyori Shibata, Bryan Danielson, and Roderick Strong to win his first championship under the AEW banner.

During an interview with Justin Walker, Ospreay spoke about how is still fresh and young, and how the Aerial Assassin wants to keep doing this for another twenty years, similar to the Rated R Superstar.

“You saw it straight away, there are things about it that makes it feels different. The fact that we’re able to constantly progress with the times and look at what we’ve done last year and how we can better ourselves. Right now, it feels like this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most elite roster ever. It’s a five year company and still has growing pains to go through, but this is our growing pains. What are we going to look like in ten years time, in 15 years time, in 20 years time? That’s how long I want to be part of this thing for. I’m still young, still fresh. I definitely feel I can do a Copeland [Adam Copeland] and be wrestling when I’m 50 years old. I definitely think I can. Look at me, I look good, don’t I?” Ospreay said.

Ospreay is set to challenge the AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland at Forbidden Door for the world championship.
