Segments
- Drew McIntyre kicks off the show. McIntyre reveals that after he attacked CM Punk this past Friday night, he took Punk’s fan-made bracelet which has his wife’s and dog’s name on it, which Punk said he wears every single day to bring his wife and dog with him no matter where he goes. McIntyre says he’s going to enter the men’s Money in The Bank ladder match and win it, while Punk watches the match from home ‘miserable and in pain.’ McIntyre puts on the bracelet and slams the microphone down before making his exit.
- Following Bron Breakker’s DQ victory over Ludwig Kaiser, Adam Pearce announced that Sami Zayn will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Bron at Money in The Bank.
- After Chad Gable punched his ticket to the men’s Money in The Bank ladder match, the lights went out and Nikki Cross crawled into the ring. Gable escaped and Nikki delivered a package to Michael Cole at the commentary table. After Nikki left, Cole opened the package to reveal a VHS tape that was tagged with ‘PLAY ME.’ Cole sent the tape to security to bring to the production truck to play the tape, later tonight.
- Chad Gable is seen running through the backstage area. Gable finds Alpha Academy’s locker room and Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri walk out. Gable apologizes for everything that he’s done the past few months. Otis says he’s happy Gable is OK after the attack from the Wyatt Sicks, but he meant it when he said they’re done as a group. Otis and Tozawa make their way back into the locker room but Maxxine stays and tells Gable they’re really happy that he’s OK and she thinks Otis just needs more time and she’ll try to talk to him about it. Maxxine goes back to the locker room and Brutus Creed, Julius Creed, and Ivy Nile approach Gable and ask if he’s OK, to which Gable hurls out that he isn’t before making his exit.
- WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest makes his way down to the ring and calls out his opponent for Money in The Bank, Seth Rollins. The former champion obliges and comes down to the ring to confront Priest. Rollins says it was obvious to everybody that Priest only became champion due to the help from The Judgment Day and CM Punk. Priest says he never asked anyone for help but they decided to get involved themselves. Rollins says he and Priest should sweeten the pot at MITB, and says they don’t have to get Adam Pearce involved, and they can make it a gentlemen’s agreement. Rollins says if Priest wins, he’ll never challenge him for the World Title ever again, but if Rollins wins, Priest cuts ties with The Judgment Day, so he can finally prove to everybody that he can truly walk on his own two feet. Priest says he’s the champion, so it looks like The Judgment Day needs him more than he needs them, so he accepts the challenge. The pair shake hands but Gunther’s music hits and out comes the King of The Ring. Gunther says Rollins helped capture the prestige of the World Title, but Damian is the man currently holding Monday Night RAW on his back, and he can’t wait to see this match at Money in The Bank. Gunther says may the better man win, but at SummerSlam, the better man at MITB will be the lesser man when they face him (Gunther) at SummerSlam.
