Sabu: WWE Guys Are Stuntmen And Actors, They’re Not Wrestlers Anymore
Sabu had this to say about WWE’s current roster.
While he plots out his final match, the legendary Sabu has had the chance to reflect on his career and give his takes on the wrestlers he sees competing in today’s generation of professional wrestling. Sabu paved the way for many greats and feels like his generation is the last of a ‘dying breed’
On an episode of Conversations with The Wrestling Classic, this is what Sabu had to say when talking about Finn Balor and how he feels like today’s generation aren’t wrestlers anymore, instead, Sabu says that he believes it’s full of stuntmen and actors.
“WWE guys are actors and stuntmen. They’re not wrestlers anymore. They’re making him, a wrestler, be an actor, and a stuntman,” he said. “I don’t blame him. He’s getting paid.”
Sabu has said that he would love to have his final match be against either longtime tag team partner and rival, Rob Van Dam, or the Indy God, Matt Cardona when he can recover from his injury.
