Swerve Strickland: Bryan Danielson Is Someone I Idolize And Look Up To, That’s A Win I Need Back
Swerve Strickland has set his sights on who he wants soon.
In 2023, Bryan Danielson was victorious against Swerve Strickland in a match that the current AEW World Champion still has on his mind even after another grueling match to defend his gold against another man in Will Ospreay who was able to get the upper hand over the American Dragon.
During the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door post-show media scrum, Tyler of Good Day New York asked Strickland if he was still hoping to get that rematch with Danielson in Wembley Stadium at All In.
“He’s at the position to gun for me now, especially after tonight. I still want that win back so bad. That’s something that still irks me to this day, that loss to Bryan. He’s someone I idolize and look up to, especially coming from the Pacific Northwest. His career, the last 10-15 years, I’ve been watching and studying that man and getting in the ring with him, feeling how special he is, that’s a win I need to mark off my list. I don’t have a long list. It’s very small. Definitely Bryan Danielson is at the top of it,” Strickland said.
Strickland could go against Danielson, or he could relight the flame of his feud with Hangman Page who returned and defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay White to get to the finals against Danielson which will go down on July 10 on AEW Dynamite.
