Shane Haste Re-Signs With NJPW
NJPW locks down another of their top stars.
Formerly known as Shane Thorne or Slapjack in WWE, Shane Haste has officially re-signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), as confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.
According to a report from Fightful Select last month, Haste’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling was set to expire in June. However, both parties were able to come to an agreement, ensuring his continued presence within the company.
Shane Haste has had an impressive career that spans across various promotions and continents. Prior to his time in WWE’s Retribution stable, Haste had already made a name for himself in NJPW, competing under his real name and as part of the formidable tag team, The Mighty Don’t Kneel (TMDK). Alongside his partner Mikey Nicholls, they achieved remarkable feats, including capturing the IWGP Tag Team Titles and the Strong Openweight Tag Team Titles. Haste’s versatility as a performer extended to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he made notable appearances, expanding his wrestling resume.
Now, with his decision to re-sign with NJPW, Haste’s return signifies his dedication to continue his successful wrestling journey and generates anticipation for the impact he will make within the promotion moving forward.
