TNA Star Joe Hendry Tags With NXT Star Trick Williams Against Ethan Page & Shawn Spears, Hendry Picks Up The Victory
Earlier tonight, all four men from the NXT World Title match at Heatwave got into a brawl to kick off the show – each wanting their shot at Ethanβs NXT title.
When the lines were drawn, it was Shawn Spears & Ethan Page battling Trick Williams & JeβVon Evans. Naturally, this would set up a tag team match for later in the night.
Evans was brutally attacked by Brooks Jensen backstage.
This now mean that Trick Williams would have to search for a new partner. Joe Hendryβs face appears in the screen behind the interviewer.
As the Main Event kicked off, Joe Hendry did, in fact, come out to team with Trick Williams.
Joe Hendry wins it for his team when he nails Shawn Spears with the STANDING OVATION.
While no further plans have been revealed for Hendry in NXT, heβs currently scheduled to challenge for the TNA World Title in a 6 Way Eliminator Match at the Slammiversary PPV on 7/20, when he battles current world champion Moose, Steve Maclin, Frankie Kazarian, Josh Alexander, & Nic Nemeth.
