Billy Gunn On AEW: I’ll Stay Around As Long As I Bring Value And I Can Help The Company

Billy Gunn is more than happy with his run in AEW.

Whether he’s Daddy Ass or just good ol’ Billy Gunn, the Hall of Famer has always enjoyed putting people around him over in hopes that it helps the product and both wrestlers who are part of the program. Gunn has been a huge piece to AEW’s The Acclaimed, helping them win gold and overcome feuds with trios like House of Black and his sons alongside Jay White.

“I have no problem just being The Acclaimed’s sidekick. I love it. Because I get to run around talk to people act like a goofball interact when I want to and work every now and then. When I work it’s nothing crazy. My kids asked me that they go, did you just take a triple powerbomb? Go What are you thinking? I went, I thought it would help the match. [They go] Okay, don’t ever do that again. I said okay. Well, I thought in my head it did. But as long as I can do that, and I feel good and I’m not…you know, it’s a struggle. The only thing that is a struggle is flying these days. Because I hate it. Yeah, but I mean, as long as I’m still having fun and doing what I do, and I can bring something to help I’m in, I’m good,” Gunn said.

Gunn has had a blast no matter what he’s done in All Elite Wrestling and he looks to stick around as long as he can help the future of professional wrestling.
