Carmelo Hayes: I’m Worth All Of The Opportunities That WWE Has Thrown My Way
Carmelo Hayes is HIM.
Since moving up to the main roster and being part of the WWE Draft, Carmelo Hayes, the former NXT Champion has been taking every opportunity he can to remind the world why he considers himself the future of the WWE.
Speaking with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, Hayes spoke about how the opportunities he has gotten are because he is a swimmer, he can take anything and keep going.
“I’d be lying if I said it felt new because I feel like they did the same thing when I got to NXT. They immediately put me up against KUSHIDA for the Cruiserweight Championship, put me against Adam Cole, and put me in the Breakout Tournament. I’ve been put in these high-pressure and sink-or-swim situations for as long as I can remember. I’ve proven every time that I’m a swimmer and I’m worth the opportunities,” Hayes said.
Hayes showed out in his first Money in the Bank match this past July where despite him not winning the match, he proved he can adapt to any style and can be a top guy for the WWE in the future.
