Reason Samoa Joe Was Written Off AEW Programming Revealed
Looks like we won’t be seeing Samoa Joe on AEW Programming after presumably being written off TV on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
On this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe faced Chris Jericho in a Calgary Stampede Street Fight. During the match, Samoa Joe was placed onto the lift of a forklift and driven through a wall backstage by Chris Jericho which resulted in the referee stopping the match, seemingly writing him off TV.
According to a report from PWInsider, the reason for Samoa Joe being written off AEW Television this week is because he will be returning for the second season of the Peacock series Twisted Metal, in which he plays the popular character Sweet Tooth, is set to begin filming later this month in Toronto. Filming is said to be scheduled at least through October, with breaks said to be in place between certain episodes, which “could leave Joe a window to pop back in.”
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about Samoa Joe’s status, or about his role as Sweet Tooth in the Peacock Series Twisted Metal.
