The Miz Doesn’t Know If He Will Have A Match In His Hometown At SummerSlam in Cleveland, Says It’s “A Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity”

Will the A-Lister have a SummerSlam match in his hometown?

Currently the answer is no. But that could change over the next few weeks as WWE’s 2024 SummerSlam PLE from Cleveland, Ohio draws near.

WWE Superstar The Miz recently spoke to TVInsider ahead of WWE’s next PLE SummerSlam in his hometown of Cleveland. During the interview The Miz talked about not knowing if he was going to have a match at SummerSlam, and how much it would mean to him, calling it “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” He adds that SummerSlam will be held in the stadium that he grew up watching his favorite NFL team play, Cleveland Browns Stadium and how WWE may never come back there since the city might be getting a new stadium.

“There are longer matches with storylines that have been built and are ready for a PLE. You look at SummerSlam now. It’s at the Cleveland Browns stadium. I don’t know what I’m doing, and it’s in my hometown. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I don’t think we will ever go back to that stadium because they might get a new stadium. This stadium that I have grown up watching the Cleveland Browns games in, I don’t know if I have a match. You look at the storylines right now, and it’s insane how good they are… It’s very tough to get on a PLE now. You have to be on the top of your game. I understand more than anyone because I’ve been here for 20 years.”

The Miz and R-Truth lost the World Tag Team Championships a few weeks ago on RAW to Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh of The Judgement Day. The two have said that they would love to have a rematch for the belts at SummerSlam.

We will have to wait and see if The Miz ends up with a match at SummerSlam in Cleveland next month.
