Jalen Brunson: The Indiana Pacers Probably Would’ve Sued Me If I Swung That Steel Chair At Tyrese Haliburton

Jalen Brunson didn’t want to get sued.

On June 28, Jalen Brunson got in the middle of a brawl between the current United States Champion Logan Paul and contender, LA Knight. This would also include Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton who eliminated Brunson’s New York Knicks from the NBA postseason earlier this year.

Brunson reflected on the moment on the Roomates podcast where you can read the full quote below.

“I got a call from a guy named Paul. Paul is talking to me. I’m like, ‘Wait, I can’t call you Paul. Your name is Triple H. I’m not calling you Paul. This is not how it’s going to go.’ We’re on the phone. I came up with an idea to get me out there. Flew back from Chicago that morning and went to the Garden. It was more nerve-racking than playing a basketball game. Way more nerve-racking for me. It was fun, it was 100% worth it,” he said. “[Triple H] is a cool dude. Everyone there was great. Meeting LA Knight too. Everyone part of that whole experience was awesome. I met Logan Paul. I met Tyrese Haliburton. Great fellow. I was going to smack him with the chair, but I probably would have gotten sued by the Indiana Pacers.”

While Haliburton is set to play for Team USA in the Olympics this year, Brunson’s Knicks got stronger during the offseason with signings that should lead to a big push in the postseason next year.
