Mike Bailey Crowned New TNA X Division Champion, Ends Mustafa Ali’s Undefeated Streak
Moments ago during the TNA Slammiversary PPV, “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Mustafa Ali to become a two-time, and NEW TNA X Division Champion in front of his hometown Montreal, Canada crowd.
Mustafa Ali spent the last few weeks trying to get out of this match and sneak-attacking Bailey with the hopes of taking him out so he wouldn’t be able to perform in the match. All of this was moot because Bailey planned to be at the show tonight no matter what, and he proved he’s the better man.
In defeating Bailey, he also put an end to Mustafa Ali’s undefeated streak since becoming a free agent at the end of 2023.
Mustafa Ali tried to bring a referee he paid when TNA Hall of Famer Earl Hebner came out to try and screw Bailey. Earn refused to do the job and instead called it down the middle. Bailey won when he placed Ali in the Sharpshooter and tapped him out.
