On July 22, 2024 WWE aired the 1,626th episode of Raw live in Green Bay Wisconsin inside Resch Center.

-Kicking off this week’s Raw with Gunther says he took some time to reflect on what he said to World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest last week but immediately takes it back. He says he meant every word and calls both Priest and fans bums then points out the fact that he’s kicking off Raw rather than Priest. He says Priest does not live up to the hype, and says his story doesn’t cover up Priest being a wannabe. Gunther then says today is the day that Judgment Day will be judged by The Ring General. He calls the entirety of Judgment Day street trash then calls Priest down to the ring to make him an offer: lift the weight off his shoulders by handing him the World Heavyweight Title.

-Priest’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He wastes no time and connects with a right hand on Gunther. They then begin to brawl with one another as officials run down to the ring to try and break Priest & Gunther up as we go to a break.

-After the break Jackie Redmond spoke backstage and said she was hoping to get a word with Gunther & he was standing near an open parking garage. Damian Priest burst into the picture and attacked Gunther. They were pulled apart by more referees, producers and security guards.

Intercontinental Title #1 Contenders Match
Bron Breakker vs. Ilja Dragunov

Bron Breakker cinches in a waist lock on Ilja Dragunov but Dragunov escapes with a series of back elbows and the action spills to the outside.

Breakker wears down Dragunov and gets him back inside the ring but Dragunov lands a running knee on him and sends him crashing into the corner.

Breakker fires off strikes on Dragunov but Dragunov lands a boot on Breakker that sends him into the ropes.

They then begin brawling on the apron before Breakker sends Dragunov crashing into the top of the ring post midsection first as we go to a break.

After the break Dragunov fires off strikes on Breakker before Breakker intercepts him and hits a gutbuster to him and they exchange strikes with one another.

Dragunov hits an enzuigiri on Breakker then follows it up with a jumping boot and Constantine Special.

He lands a jumping knee and a running boot on Breakker in the corner then sends him crashing into the mat with a powerbomb then goes for a pin but Breakker kicks out.

Breakker hits an avalanche hurricanrana to Dragunov and goes for a pin but Dragunov kicks out.

Breakker then ascends back to the top rope but Dragunov connects with an enzuigiri and joins Breakker on the ropes.

Dragunov hits a superplex and H Bomb to Breakker then gets him up on his shoulders on the apron and lands a Death Valley Driver. He looks to fly off the apron but Breakker intercepts him with a spear.

The referee begins a 10 count but stops herself then checks on Dragunov on the outside and calls off the match.

Winner By Referee Stoppage & #1 Contender To The Intercontinental Title: Bron Breakker

-Backstage Rhea Ripley spoke with Judgement Day as Dominik Mysterio pulls Ripley aside and said he was a little concerned that she wrote yeet in response to Jey Uso wanting her number. Ripley said she was just messing around just like Mysterio was with Liv Morgan.

-World Tag Team Champion Finn Balor told Mysterio that he needs to take care of Jey once and for all. Ripley said Jey doesn’t matter. Balor asked if Ripley was defending Jey. Ripley said she wasn’t defending anyone but she didn’t see the point of starting a war with Jey. Ripley told Mysterio to use his brain and then left the room. Balor told Mysterio that he knew what he had to do.

-We then head over and see Adam Pearce standing by with the 2 referees from last week as Drew McIntyre shakes his hand.

-After the break we go backstage where Xavier Woods held a birthday cake for Akira Tozawa while Otis & Maxxine Dupri stood by. Otis & Tozawa grabbed cake with their hands and ate it.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Sonya Deville

Match starts off with a lock up before Sonya Deville hits a knee to Lyra Valkyria’s midsection and hits a hair whip on her but Valkyria fires off shoulders on Deville’s midsection in the corner.

She then trips Deville and lands a dropkick on her but Deville slides out of the ring for a breather.

Valkyria looks to land a dropkick through the middle rope but Deville sees her coming and tosses her into the barricade as we go to a break.

After the break Valkyria sits Deville on the top rope and fires off forearms and right hands on her.

She connects with a superplex but Deville lands a jumping knee and a kick on her.

Valkyria hits a boot to Deville’s midsection then hits a 2nd boot to her and lands a Northern Lights suplex.

She goes for a pin but Deville kicks out.

Valkyria gets Deville up on her shoulders, but Deville escapes and looks to land Deville’s Advocate.

Valkyria avoids it and hits a gutwrench Michinoku Driver to Deville then ascends to the top rope but Shayna Baszler distracts the referee and Zoey Stark trips her.

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance go attack Stark & Baszler but Valkyria hits a dropkick through the middle ropes to take them out. Deville then intercepts her and hits Deville’s Advocate for the win.

Winner: Sonya Deville

-Footage aired of Nikki Cross while Uncle Howdy said Look at yourself. They lied to you. They ignored you, watched you suffer. Howdy said he has been the answer all along. Cross screamed after Howdy said look at yourself again.

-After the break CM Punk says it’s great to be alive on a Monday Night in Wisconsin then says it’s time to stain Green Bay and his pink shoes with the blood of a Scottish Psychopath. He announces he was medically cleared this past weekend then calls Drew McIntyre down to the ring for a fight.

-McIntyre’s music hits and he appears. He tells Punk he can’t explain how long he’s waited for this. He says nothing will stop him from getting in the ring and tearing Punk apart except he doesn’t want to. Punk says he wants to tear McIntyre apart and goes after him on the ramp. Officials appear to hold Punk back, and McIntyre says a match between them is bigger than Green Bay. He parades Punk’s bracelet around and Punk looks to break free. Adam Pearce then makes his way out and tells Punk that there’s a reason McIntyre doesn’t want to fight tonight. He announces that McIntyre’s suspension has been lifted and says that McIntyre & Punk will collide at SummerSlam. He says that if McIntyre & Punk lay their hands on one another the one to throw the first punch will be suspended. He says that they’ve created too much chaos then says he has a referee problem.

-Seth Rollins then makes his way down to the ring and shakes Pearce’s hand. He hugs him then gets inside the ring and grabs a mic. Rollins tells Green Bay that they had themselves a problem then says McIntyre and Punk hate each other. Rollins says all the chaos it means that no one else wants to get in the ring with them to referee their SummerSlam match then says there’s a guy who thrives on chaos and wants to put them both in their place: himself. He then declares that he will be the Special Guest Referee in McIntyre & Punk’s SummerSlam match.

-Backstage Judgement Day were searching for Jey Uso. Carlito said they should divide and conquer. JD McDonagh & Carlito went one way. Finn Balor told Dominik Mysterio he would check one area and then sent him to another area.

-Liv Morgan showed up & Mysterio said she couldn’t keep doing this. Mysterio asked what she was doing. Morgan said she knows how Ripley is making Mysterio feel. Mysterio said they are perfect. Balor showed up then Morgan made her exit.

-After the break we go backstage where Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn is interviewed by Cathy Kelley & Zayn said Bron Breakker earned his title shot. He said he’s not worried but he is taking Breakker seriously. Zayn advised Breakker to do the same by taking him seriously.

-Zayn heard some commotion and left the interview set. Zayn stops JD McDonagh & Carlito from attacking Jey Uso. Zayn & Jey fought off McDonagh & Carlito.

-Highlights aired of Braun Strowman & Otis appearing at Packers’ training camp

6 Man Tag Team Match
The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam & Rezar) vs. Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis) & Xavier Woods

Karrion Kross immediately tags out to Rezar & Rezar fires off chops on Xavier Woods then tags in Akam.

Akam lands a right hand on Woods’ spine but Woods connects with a forearm and a kick before he fires off chops on him and tags in Akira Tozawa.

Tozawa lands a forearm on Akam then sends him crashing out of the ring.

He hits a dropkick and a tope suicida to him through the ropes then becomes fired up and rips off his shirt as we go to a break.

After the break Kross hits a boot to Tozawa and gets him up on his shoulders.

He sends Tozawa crashing into the mat then lands a forearm on Woods on the apron.

Tozawa sends Kross crashing into the top turnbuckle then tags in Otis.

Otis hits Kross & Authors Of Pain with clotheslines then hits a splash to Akam.

He hits The Caterpillar to him but Kross surprises him with a forearm.

Woods tags in and hits a dropkick to Kross as Tozawa takes out Authors of Pain on the outside.

Woods fires off right hands on Kross in the corner but Kross gets Woods on one shoulder and sends him crashing into the mat with The Final Prayer for the win.

Winners: The Final Testament

-After the match Chad Gable’s music hits and he makes his way out with Creed Brothers as we go to a break.

-After the break Gable tells Otis, Akira Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri that he wanted to talk to them because he can’t stay away from them. He says Otis has assumed leadership of the group but he lost the 1st match as leader. He says that brains aren’t Otis’ strong suit then says he recruited Creed Brothers to fill in some weaknesses. He asks the rest of Alpha Academy to rejoin him with the Wyatt Sicks hunting down the rest of the Raw roster.

-Otis cites the Wyatt Sicks’ attack of Creed Brothers last week as an example of his protection, and says he’s the kind of man to flee when someone else is being attacked. Otis informs Gable he will not be rejoining him & Gable asks Dupri & Tozawa if they will to. Dupri & Tozawa make it clear that won’t be the case.

-Gable orders Creed Brothers to attack Otis & Tozawa & Creed Brothers do so but Otis hits them with a double clothesline. He looks to take down Gable but Gable & Creed Brothers outnumber Otis. Creed Brothers send Otis crashing into the ring post shoulder first then send him crashing into the apron.

-Gable then hands Creed Brothers a chair each but the lights go out and the Wyatt Sicks’ music begins to play. Creed Brothers prepare for the arrival of the group with chairs in hand. Sister Abigail, Mercy The Buzzard, Ramblin’ Rabbit & Huskus The Pig Boy appear on the ramp as Uncle Howdy appears in the ring behind Gable. He connects with a Sister Abigail on him and falls to his knees.

Pete Dunne vs. Bronson Reed

Sheamus appears and hits Dunne with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus & Bronson Reed then begin brawling and Sheamus lands a Brogue Kick on Reed. He then hits 10 Beats of the Bodhran to Dunne and looks to land a Brogue Kick on Dunne but Dunne avoids it. Sheamus opts to land one on Reed instead.

Winner: No One (Match Never Got Started)

-Inside the Judgment Day clubhouse, Rhea Ripley asked Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh & Carlito what happened. Balor said he’s had enough of being disrespected. Balor said he & McDonagh would take care of Sami Zayn & Jey Uso.

-Balor took issue with Gunther referring to them as a joke and said we’d see who is laughing when they meet next week. Ripley recalls saying that no one could touch Jey Uso. Ripley grabs Dominik Mysterio by the arm. Mysterio asked what they were doing. Ripley said they were going to the ring.

-After the break we head backstage & Jackie Redmond asked Sheamus what was happening between him & Pete Dunne. Sheamus said he was still scratching his head. Sheamus addressed Dunne and said their issues could be easily fixed over a pint or they could take it to the ring and find out who the real Bruiserweight is. Are you up for a banger? Sheamus asked.

-Rhea Ripley tells Liv Morgan that if she wants Dominik Mysterio she can come and get him.

-Morgan’s music hits and she appears in the crowd. She says she won’t be coming down to the ring because she has self control. She says she can wait until SummerSlam then says she came down to the ring to declare she & Mysterio have feelings for each other. Morgan says gorgeous men like Mysterio don’t go for girls that look like Ripley. She says they go for girls that look like her.

-Ripley looks to go after Morgan but Mysterio holds her back and tells Ripley to let him take care of things. Morgan says she thinks she knows what Mysterio will say and tells him she feels the exact same way. She tells him to say those 3 little words and Mysterio says the three words he feels about Morgan: I hate you. He tells Morgan that he hates her and says she’s ruined his life.

-Morgan begins to sob and heads out of the crowd as Ripley smiles on and whispers something to Mysterio. She plants a kiss on Mysterio’s cheek then head to the back.

-Zelina Vega came out with her right arm and hand heavily wrapped and was interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Vega said her injury wouldn’t stop her. She said no one can keep her down. She said it’s time that she starts proving people wrong and shutting them up.

Zelina Vega vs. Zoey Stark

Zelina Vega rolls up Zoey Stark but Stark kicks out and Vega looks to land a hurricanrana on her but Stark catches her.

Vega escapes and sends her crashing into the corner but Stark sends Vega’s arm bouncing off the mat.

She looks to land a pair of double knees on it but Vega rolls out of the way before she can.

Stark fires off shoulders on Vega in the corner but Vega sends her crashing into the middle turnbuckle and ascends up it. Stark joins her but Vega lands a back elbow to knock her off.

Stark gets back up on the middle rope and sends Vega crashing to the outside as we go to a break.

After the break Stark hits a dropkick off the top rope then wears down Vega with a submission hold but Vega catches her with a Tornado DDT and ascends to the top rope.

She hits a moonsault and goes for a pin but Stark kicks out.

Stark connects with a thrust kick on Vega and goes for a pin but Vega kicks out.

Vega sends Stark crashing into the ropes and sets up for the 619 but Deville distracts the referee as Baszler trips Vega.

Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter & Katana Chance then run down to the ring and attack Baszler & Deville.

Back in the ring Stark lands a powerbomb but Vega clocks her and lands Code Red for the win.

Winner: Zelina Vega

-We then head backstage and see Xavier Woods request a match against Karrion Kross from Adam Pearce next week. Pearce agrees and Drew McIntyre walks in to complain about Seth Rollins being the special guest referee in his SummerSlam match against Punk. Pearce then informs McIntyre that he & Punk will be meeting with Rollins inside the ring to go over Rollins official referee instructions of their SummerSlam match.

-After the break Jackie Redmond spoke with Women’s Tag Team Champions The Unholy Union They spoke about appearing on Smackdown to respond to the challenge made by former champions Bianca BelAir & Jade Cargill.

-Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler showed up. Deville said BelAir & Cargill are not the biggest issue facing Dawn & Fyre, they are. Deville said they would see them soon.

-A Gunther video package aired. He spoke about how the World Heavyweight Title needs him to create a new mountaintop. He praised Seth Rollins, yet said being champion drove him into the ground. He said Drew McIntyre’s obsession with CM Punk cost him.

-Gunther spoke about how the cracks were showing with current champion Damian Priest. Gunther said he is the only one who can redefine the prestige of the championship. He said he will become the World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam.

-Sami Zayn & Jey Uso were shown walking through the concourse while fans cheered them. A fan gave them both Yeet foam fingers which they wore while doing their handshake. 

Non Title Match
World Tag Team Champions Judgement Day (JD McDonagh & Finn Balor) vs. Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn & Jey Uso

Finn Balor & Jey Uso lock up before they take turns locking one another in submission holds before Balor lands a shoulder tackle and a Hammer & Anvil Elbows on Jey’s head.

Jey levels Balor then hits a modified hip attack and an enzuigiri on Balor in the corner.

Zayn tags in and hits a double ax handle off the middle rope as Jey holds Balor in place.

Balor then sends Zayn crashing into the corner and tags in McDonagh.

McDonagh fires off kicks on Zayn in the corner but Zayn levels him and sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle face first.

McDonagh lands another Hammer & Anvil Elbows on Zayn’s head and clocks Jey on the apron but Zayn sends him crashing to the outside.

He sends Balor out to join McDonagh and hits a springboard moonsault to them off the ropes.

Dominik looks to clock Zayn, but the referee catches him. As the referee yells at Dominik Mysterio, Carlito sends Zayn colliding with the ring post as we go to a break.

After the break McDonagh tags in and keeps Zayn from tagging in Jey.

He connects with a back suplex on Zayn before Balor tags in and lands an elbow on Zayn’s spine.

He rains down right hands on him and hits Hammer & Anvil Elbows to him then fires off a shoulder on his midsection and tags in McDonagh.

McDonagh fires off chops on Zayn but Zayn responds with a Blue Thunder Bomb.

Jey makes the blind tag in and lands a kick on McDonagh before he & Zayn then hits 1D to McDonagh and go for a pin but Balor breaks the fall.

Balor then surprises Jey with a Sling Blade but Jey hits a superkick to him.

McDonagh sends Jey’s face bouncing off the top rope and Balor hits a missile dropkick to Jey in the corner. McDonagh tags in and Balor hits Coup De Grace to Jey.

McDonagh follows it up with a moonsault and goes for a pin but Zayn breaks the fall.

Judgement Day look to send Jey crashing into the apron but Zayn pulls down Balor.

He then hits Helluva Kick to McDonagh and levels Balor, Dominik & Carlito on the outside. Jey then hits Uso Splash to McDonagh for the win.

Winners: Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn & Jey Uso

-After the match Bron Breakker appears and blindsides Zayn with a spear.
