Swerve Strickland: TV Time Is The Biggest Difference I’ve Faced Between My Time With WWE And AEW
Swerve Strickland loves the investment that AEW has had for him.
During his time leading Hit Row in WWE, Swerve Strickland was ready to reach new heights until his release in 2021 due to budget cuts. But as soon as he arrived in All Elite Wrestling, the new journey for Strickland changed everything and now he’s one of their biggest faces for the promotion.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Strickland spoke about the differences he’s faced in both his time with the WWE and now with AEW.
“TV time, that’s an investment. Tony Khan gave me that. He gave me that with top talent. Top tag team talent. Top managerial talent. Rick Ross. Everywhere, all throughout the show. That’s what everyone wants, and Tony Khan offered that to me. When you don’t get that, it crushes your spirit. I could ask for a minute in a promo, and Tony would give it to me. That means more than people will ever know,” Swerve Strickland said.
Strickland is set to defend his AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium for All In against the legendary Bryan Danielson who holds a victory over the current champion.
