Jeff Hardy made his return to TNA Wrestling at the 6/18 LIVE Against All Odds PLE, where he saved his brother, Matt, and sister-in-law, Reby Hardy, from being taken out by The System are the numbers gave became too much for them to withstand. Jeff emerged with a chair and fended off the “bad guys”, standing tall in the end.
Yesterday, Jeff Hardy appeared on Busted Open Radio with David LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer, & Bully Ray. He spoke about his goals In TNA, as well as how things turned out in AEW.
“Definitely to win the TNA Tag Team titles,” Jeff said. “Basically because I have so much guilt and shame within me still, just from AEW giving me an opportunity — and even Matt — to me breaking trust with my personal issues in real life. And so, I just want to make that up to Matt. And I can say right here that I will not break TNA’s trust. That is in my past, and it feels good to have somewhat of a clean slate with all that stuff and kind of start fresh instead of having that guilt and shame about what I did in a certain world of pro wrestling.”
Jeff said sobriety, recovery, and staying on the straight and narrow are what’s important. Having the support of his family means everything to him.
“So many things have happened since my last run-in with the law that have been really beautiful,” he said. “It’s like an enlightenment connection I have with everything around me, mainly nature. The force of nature is a huge drive with my internal love.” – Busted Open Radio
Jeff hasn’t stepped foot into a TNA ring for many years. His last match in a TNA ring came on the 2/2/17 episode of TNA iMPACT as part of an Open Fight Night, where he lost a World Title match to Bobby Lashley. Bobby was the champion going into the match.
Matt Hardy has also echoed the sentiment of wanting to capture the TNA Tag Team Titles again with his brother. Matt & Jeff are three-time TNA/IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions.
