Sami Zayn knows how competitive El Generico is.
Mystery has always surrounded Sami Zayn when he arrived in WWE. For example, what happened to El Generico? Many fans have made the joke that despite Zayn being the same character as Generico. The idea of them facing off in a dream match would be one to remember for ages.
While speaking with Good Karma Wrestling, Zayn was asked about how a potential match would go with Generico. This is what the current Intercontinental Champion had to say.
“I don’t know. It would probably be a pretty competitive fight. Both guys are kind of known for their heart and sticking it out. So I don’t know, I feel like that would go 45 minutes [laughs], both guys just blown to high hell and struggling to get up, but kind of still fighting through it. I feel like it’d be that kind of match,” Zayn said.
Zayn is scheduled to defend his championship gold against Bron Breakker at SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio after previously defeating Breakker in Zayn’s hometown of Canada at Money in the Bank.
