WWE US Champion Logan Paul on Spreading Harmful, Transphobic, Misinformation: “Oopsies”

“Oopsies.”
That’s the reaction of WWE U.S. Champion Logan Paul after finding out that — surprise! — his tweet about professional boxer Imane Khelif, in which he alleged that she was a man, was wrong.
As anybody who took three minutes to actually research the matter (which, in itself, is a weird thing to do; mind your business, weirdos) could tell you, Paul was wrong in his misrepresentation of Khelif, who is a cisgender woman that defeated Italian boxer Angela Carini in a fight at the 2024 Paris Olympics.e
Previously, Paul stated that “A man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father.”
He later found out that it was, in fact, a ciswoman who beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father.
After many Twitter/X users expressed outrage at Paul’s blatant ignorance and transphobia, somebody in his camp must have, like, Googled something, and explained to the guy that Khelif was simply a biological woman who was previously disqualified from a 2023 fight for having higher levels of testosterone. Which happens sometimes. Because not all women are the same. In a stunning turn of events, men can actually produce estrogen, as well. Because bodies.
Still, rather than offer an actual apology for spreading misinformation that could, at best, bum Khelif out on what should be the best day of her life or, at worst, get her f*cking killed or arrested (it’s illegal to be LGBTQ+ in her home country), Paul decided to double down on his transphobia.
“Oopsies,” the WWE U.S. Champion began. “I might be guilty of spreading misinformation along with the entirety of this app.”
Except, it wasn’t the entirety of this app spreading misinformation, Logan. It was you. And people like you. People who don’t understand biology. People who choose to spread ignorance, and hatred, and poorly-spelled tweets. People who are so concerned with the private parts of strangers that, instead of actually taking a second to make sure their information is correct before spreading it, they instead choose to hit the send button without any care or consideration for how their words might put others in danger.
This day was supposed to be one of the most important days of Imane Khelif’s life. She competed on the grandest stage, in front of the world, and won a fight in just 46 seconds. Not because she’s a man. Not because she “had an advantage.” Because she was the better fighter. And on this day, the most important of her life, she had dipshits like Logan Paul telling her (and the rest of the world) that she was a man.
Now, instead of apologizing, he’s playing the victim card. The fact is, on this matter, it was Logan Paul who hung himself.
Maybe somebody should go film him.
