AEW is expanding its presence on Warner Bros. Discovery with the upcoming debut of a new TV show on TNT titled “Overdrive.”
This exciting addition to the network promises to showcase action-packed moments and will feature appearances by AEW wrestlers. A teaser on the network’s website offers a glimpse of the upcoming series, featuring a mix of intense car crashes, high-speed chases, and extreme sports footage interspersed with scenes of AEW wrestlers in action, complemented by promos from notable talents such as Will Ospreay, Willow Nightingale, and The Acclaimed.
Described as a high-energy showcase of exhilarating moments and exclusive behind-the-scenes stories from AEW stars, “TNT Overdrive” will air on Saturdays at 10/9c, directly following Collision. AEW’s presence on television has previously been seen in reality TV series such as “Rhodes to the Top,” which highlighted Cody and Brandi Rhodes on TNT in 2021, and “AEW All Access,” which delved into backstage activities on TBS last year.
Currently, AEW is in discussions with Warner Bros. Discovery to extend their media rights deal set to expire at the end of the year. Tony Khan has indicated positive progress in the negotiations, mentioning a recent meeting in Paris with Warner Bros. Discovery’s chief, David Zaslav. The outcome of these negotiations remains eagerly anticipated by fans, who are also looking forward to the premiere of “TNT Overdrive” this week.
