Seth Rollins On The Shield Breakup: The Business As A Whole Is Healthier Than Ever And That Moment Shifted Everything

Seth Rollins is happy things went the way it did.

In 2014, the Shield was broken up after Seth Rollins turned his back on his brothers to join the Authority and initiate Plan B. The group would reunite a couple of times throughout the decade. Still, now all three men have been on their paths in the wrestling world with Jon Moxley leaving the WWE for AEW and Roman Reigns turning heel to become the Tribal Chief who held the WWE Undisputed title for over 1000 days.

During an appearance for SportsCenter, Rollins was asked if there were anything he would have changed about when he turned his back on his brothers, here is his full quote below.

“Yeah, I have. I’ve been asked about it a lot. Obviously, I think that’s the one thing that if you’re a fan of Seth Rollins or The Shield or Jon Moxley, Roman Reigns, I think that’s the one thing that kind of sits with you over the course of the last ten years, essentially. I get asked about it all the time, and I’ve thought about it. ‘Would you go back? Would you change it? Would you do something different?’ My answer is unequivocally no, I wouldn’t because where we’re at now, the business as a whole is healthier than it’s ever been. That moment in time is what shifted everything. That’s what put us all on our separate paths. Our goal in the beginning was to run the show, to run the business, to change it, to make it better. Here we are a decade later, and I dare say it was accomplished with the swing of that steel chair,” Rollins said.

Reigns made his return this past August at SummerSlam where he Superman Punched and Speared Solo Sikoa to help Cody Rhodes retain the WWE Undisputed Championship.
