Roxanne Perez: I Hope I Can Face Meiko Satomura Again Before She Officially Retires
Roxanne Perez wants one more shot against the legend.
This past July, Meiko Satomura announced in Japan that she would officially be retiring from professional wrestling in 2025, in 2022, Roxanne Perez and Satomura fought each other before clashing again in 2023 at NXT Roadblock where the legend put a beating on the current NXT Women’s Champion.
During a sitdown interview with Stephanie Chase, Perez spoke about how she would love one more opportunity to face off against Satomura before the legend does officially retire from the sport.
“Meiko Satomura was my dream opponent probably since I was 16 years old, so coming to WWE and right away getting two matches against her within a few months of me being there was just insane. I really think that she is, if not the best, one of the best women’s wrestlers – not women’s wrestlers – one of the best wrestlers in the entire world. I am sad to see that she is going to be retiring next year, but I really, really hope I get to have just one more match,” Roxanne Perez said.
Perez has been focused on defending her championship gold against the very best, even preparing herself for potential signings that could make the jump at anytime to take the strap from Perez.
