Sami Zayn: For Personal Reasons, My Most Special Run Is Winning The Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn holds his recent reign as Intercontinental Champion as the most special run of his career.
This past year at WrestleMania 40, Sami Zayn walked in as the underdog and walked out as the new WWE Intercontinental Champion when he defeated the longest-reigning champion of all-time, the Ring General, Gunther in the center of the ring, in front of his wife and son.
Zayn would go on to make six successful title defenses as champion before losing it on day 119 against Bron Breakker at SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio. Zayn would post about how he considers this to be the most special run of his career due to personal reasons.
Despite Zayn not being able to win back the championship gold on the August 12 edition of Monday Night Raw, Zayn was praised by Breakker who said he does not doubt that Zayn will be in the Hall of Fame once it is all said and done for his legendary career.
