Road To Emergence Heats Up — TNA iMPACT Results — August 22, 2024
-Ultimate X Qualifying Match: Frankie Kazarian vs KUSHIDA vs. Alexander Hammerstone
Alex Hammerstone def. Frankie Kazarian & Kushida via pinfall when he nails Kushida with the NIGHTMARE PENDULLUM and gains the pinfall.
Post match Kaz beats down KUSHIDA and leaves him laid out.
Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with Eric Young. Gia says Young’s opponent for next week – Hammerstone – just advanced to the Ultimate X match at Emergence. Young says after next week Hammerstone might not be able to be part of the match.
Maclin walks up and says he’ll be watching.
We get a video from Santana backstage thanking the System for bringing out the animal in him that he needs to be in order to beat The System, telling them that the next time they come for him they better not miss.
-Rosemary vs. Alisha Edwards (w/Masha Slamovich)
Rosemary picks up the victory over Alisha after Spitfire came to stop Masha Slamovich from interfering. Rosemary places the black Rose on top of Alisha as she’s laid out in the ring.
Last week Jordynne Grace challenged Ash By Elegance to a match. This week, Ash responds saying that she’ll give Grace the match, but that they’ll do it on her terms. Ash calls it a “Match By Elegance.”
-Matt Cardona, SDL, & TBD vs PCO, Rhino, & Xia Brookside
Cardona comes out and says he would have faced PCO but he’s not medically cleared but not to worry SDL, she has 2 mystery partners in Kon and Madman Fulton.
PCO, Rhino, & Xia Brookside def. Big Kon, SDL, & Madman Fulton after Rhino hits Fulton with the SPEAR, and then PCO follows it up with a PCOSAULT off the top rope.
SDL never gets into the match and celebrates with her husband, PCO.
We get an amazing video package hyping the 60 Minute Iron Man Match where Nic Nemeth defends the TNA World Title against Josh Alexander at the LIVE Emergence event on 8/30.
We go backstage to Jordynne Grace standing by herself. Grace says next week Ash will see just who she is and says the Juggernaut cannot be stopped.
-Ultimate X Qualifying Match: Laredo Kid vs. Jai Vidal vs. Bhupinder Gujjar
Laredo Kid def. Jai Vidal & Bhupinder Gujjar
Backstage, Rich Swann is with AJ Francis and complaining to head referee Daniel Spencer about the Ultimate X qualifier match that he lost. Mike Bailey walks up and says that he is a fighting champion so he won’t refuse a match against Swann next week.
–TNA vs. NXT: Jonathan Gresham vs. Charlie Dempsey
Gresham defeated Dempsey. Both men kept going at each other after the match was over. Dempsey was upset about the loss.

-Matt & Jeff Hardy vs. Moose & Johnny Dango Curtis
Jeff went after JDC with a chair immediately.
Jeff nails JDC with Whisper in the Wind.
Jeff & Matt Hardy def. JDC & Moose when Jeff nails JDC with a Swanton Bomb. Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards make their way out to beat down The System.
Santana and Joe Hendry make their way out for the save.
