Steve Austin Reveals Why He Wasn’t At WrestleMania 40
Steve Austin was almost at the grandest stage of them all.
At WrestleMania 40, the Avengers of WWE united to take down the Bloodline once and for all in the main event of night two where Cody Rhodes had help from Jey Uso, John Cena, and the Undertaker to take out Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, The Rock, and Roman Reigns where Rhodes finally finished his story to become the new WWE Undisputed Champion.
During a sitdown with Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Steve Austin, who was contacted by the WWE for the event revealed why he couldn’t be part of the Avengers of the WWE.
“It was close. They certainly reached out to me. We had conversations. My wife and I had some things going on and I didn’t need to go to Philly at that time. I have said, I miss Mania and Philly was a good town for me back in the day and I appreciate those fans. Couldn’t make it down on that one. WrestleMania this year is in Vegas,” he said.
Austin has been teasing the idea of making it up for fans by appearing at WrestleMania 41 no matter what the capacity could be for the Texas Rattlesnake.
